test failures

Forums

Dear Niko,
I am interested in Frealix to refine the helical maps we obtained using Egelman's SPIDER package. During the test of the Frealix1.1.0 package, there were two failures.

I would appreciate if someone in your lab can have a look. thanks.

Hello Qiu-Xing,

Thanks for giving Frealix a try.

The CTF test probably failed because the scripts looks in the wrong place for the EMAN2 binaries - I haven't made these test scripts very portable. So I wouldn't worry about that.

The segments v repeats test passes when I run it here, but it could be that differences in results are due to how we compiled it. I am using the NAG compiler here - perhaps you are using the Intel compiler? Or are you running the binary which we distribute (*-linx64.tar.gz)? The test is quite stringent and can be affected by numerical "noise".

In any case, this particular test is for a feature which is not (yet) used in Frealix, so if the other tests are passing I wouldn't be concerned about it.

Do not hesitate to ask in this forum for any assistance you may need. I am aware that the documentation for Frealix is inadequate in many places!
