Kexin Zhang
My research aims to transform how we visualize and understand the molecular machinery of life. I develop next-generation imaging and computational methods for cryo-EM, with the goal of mapping biomolecules and their interactions directly inside cells, using the strategy of 2D template matching.
By integrating numerical analysis, deep learning, and the expanding repository of structural knowledge from experimental data and AlphaFold predictions, I strive to push the boundaries of resolution of biomolecular imaging. Ultimately, my work seeks to illuminate the molecular underpinnings of cellular function and accelerate the discovery of novel therapeutics.
